Todd Marklin - SVP Infrastructure
Todd Marklin is Senior Vice President of Infrastructure at Phoenix Rail. In this capacity, he has responsibility for maintaining and improving Phoenix’s infrastructure, including oversight of the company’s capital investment programs including design and construction of new projects, and procuring public funding.
Mr. Marklin is a seasoned rail industry expert, beginning his career over 25 years ago with CSX, a Class 1 carrier. He has served in various engineering and managerial roles throughout the south and southeast divisions for CSX, and, later, OmniTRAX, Palmetto Railways, Watco, and as Vice President of Engineering for Pioneer Lines. Most recently, Mr. Marklin oversaw infrastructure of Pinsley Railroad Company (Macquarie) as its Vice President of Engineering.
Mr. Marklin’s rail experience also extends to the federal government, having spent five years with the Federal Railroad Administration where he led derailment investigative teams. His contributions resulted in significant reductions of track caused derailments and accidents throughout the United States.
Mr. Marklin holds his Railroad Construction PM Certificate from the University of Wisconsin and is an active member of The American Short Line and Regional Railroad Association (ASLRRA).
